Connect 4 (Samok) is about lining up four in a row. Omokboard's version is free-placement with no gravity, so whole-board awareness matters like in Omok.
Since you only need four, threats mature fast. An open three is essentially a win, so never allow one. Creating two threes at once is the key tactic.
