1. Overview
Omokboard (omokboard.com, "the site") is a free web game site run by a single developer. There are no accounts or logins, and the site never asks you to enter information that identifies you, like a name, email address, or phone number. This policy explains the information that is processed automatically while you use the site, and the third-party services the site uses.
2. Information Processed Automatically
- Access logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes connection information such as IP address, browser type, and request time to run and secure its servers.
- Usage statistics: Google Analytics (GA4) collects the pages you visit, your device and browser type, your approximate region, and game events such as starting a game, choosing a mode or difficulty, and restarting. This is used only to improve the site, and it uses cookies.
- Online play: When you play by room code, the room code, game type, moves played so far (board state), and a random token that identifies your seat are stored on Cloudflare servers. No names or chat are exchanged. A room is deleted automatically 30 minutes after the last join or reconnect.
- Advertising: The ad services in section 4 use cookies.
3. Information Stored in Your Browser
The following is stored only in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
- 2048 best score: stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) until you clear your browser data.
- Online play seat token: stored in session storage (sessionStorage) so a refresh returns you to the same seat, and cleared when you close the tab.
4. Advertising and Cookies
This site shows ads from Google AdSense and Kakao AdFit.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of other third-party vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

- Kakao AdFit ads are covered by the Kakao Privacy Policy.
5. Other External Resources
When these resources load, your browser requests them directly from the provider's servers, which passes along connection information such as your IP address.

6. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The games still work with cookies turned off.

- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
7. Retention
Online play rooms are deleted automatically after 30 minutes, as described above. Access logs and usage statistics follow Cloudflare's and Google's retention policies, and anything stored in your browser stays until you clear it.
